Publication Requirements

To participate in CASAP VIII, all authors must follow the guidelines below so that their in-extension can be reviewed and considered for participation.

Application Deadline

August 02, 2021 - 23:59 pm Colombia Time

Authorship

The content of the in-extension is the responsibility of the main author and communication will be held through the e-mail that sends the in-extension.

Criteria for publication
of in-extensions

Selection Criteria

  • Only in-extension from original research will be accepted. Research may be in progress but may present partial results.
  • in-extensions may be submitted for research addressing various topics within the thematic areas of the congress.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Research in-extension submitted, published or accepted for publication in scientific journals or in-extension books of scientific events (congresses, or other) before August 02, 2021 will not be accepted.
  • If the in-extension is accepted for publication by another organization prior to acceptance by CASAP VIII, the lead author is responsible for withdrawing his/her in-extension.
  • Analysis updates will be considered only if the research in-extension provides a significant extension of previously published work.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements

* The author has the option to publish the paper in IEEE or just present it at the conference.
It must comply with the publication requirements.

Submit the title of the abstract in English and Spanish. The title should not exceed 20 words.

There is no limit to the number of authors, but all authors must meet all authorship criteria:

  • Significant contributions to the conception or design of the manuscript, or to the collection, analysis or interpretation of data.
  • Significant critical drafting or revision of the manuscript content.
  • Final approval of the version to be published.
  • Assumption of responsibility for all aspects of the manuscript to ensure that issues concerning the accuracy or completeness of any part of the manuscript will be adequately investigated and resolved.

Each author must include his/her institutional affiliation, city and country. Example: "Instituto de Estudios y Servicios Ambientales, Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Bogotá, Colombia".

The text of the abstract should not exceed 400 words and should be structured as follows:

  • Introduction and Objectives: Should be short and express the main objective of the study.
  • Materials and Methods: Describe the type of study, methodology and data analysis used.
  • Results: Briefly describe the most important results. Figures or tables may be used to complement the description of the results.
  • Conclusions: Briefly write the main conclusions and limit them to the results of the research.

Abstracts must be uploaded to the EasyChair platform by a SINGLE author. To access it, create a user with the email you will use later to participate in the conference.

Well done!

This is the opportunity to make your work visible! Term until August 02, 2021
