Objective and expected result
This panel aims to analyze the components, scope, and implications of Colombia’s new noise law and its impact on public health. Through dialogue between proponents, environmental authorities responsible for its enforcement, and technical experts, the challenges facing its effective implementation and inter-institutional coordination will be addressed. The outcome is expected to generate technical and reflective input that will strengthen understanding of the law, promote its adoption by stakeholders, and position noise management as a priority within public health and urban sustainability policies.
