Professor at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá campus. He holds a professional degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of America (1997), a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Andes (2001) and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology – EPFL (2009). His research interests include: identification of new emission sources, evaluation of strategies to improve air quality, air quality models at local and regional scales. Professor Belalcazar has participated in several international research projects developed in different countries around the world, including Switzerland, Vietnam, Ecuador, Cuba and Colombia, and is the author of a book, co-author of three book chapters and several research papers.
