Bridget Hoffmann is an economist in the Research Department of the Inter- American Development Bank. She is an empirical microeconomist and her research interests are in the intersection of environmental economics, development economics, and social protection. Her research has been published in peer- reviewed journals including Econometrica, Journal of Development Economics, and European Economic Review. Her research was awarded second place in the 2024 Premio Banamex de Economia. She received her PhD in Economics from Northwestern University and her B.A. in Mathematics and Financial Economics from the University of Rochester.
