She holds a degree in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the Universidad del Valle, with a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the same institution.
With more than 16 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Echeverry has led high-impact initiatives in the environmental field, promoting collaboration between academia, civil society, government agencies, and international knowledge networks. Her career is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and a solid capacity for academic, scientific, and technical management, especially in science, technology, and innovation (STI) projects related to climate change, air quality, environmental governance, and citizen mobilization.
At the university level, she has promoted research training processes, collective knowledge construction, and critical analysis of environmental issues from a Latin American perspective. Her vision of science is deeply connected to social transformation, informed participation, and environmental equity.
