Florencia is the Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), a role in which she collaborates closely with the scientific team, local governments, and experts to support methane emission reduction commitments in the region. She has extensive experience as a legal advisor in the public sector, primarily serving as environmental legal advisor to the Presidency of the Environment and Sustainable Development Commission of the Argentine Senate (2020-2023).
She holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), specializing in Environmental and Energy Law. She holds a diploma in “Environment, Energy, Mining, and Hydrocarbons” from the Universidad Austral and in “Development and Financing of Renewable Energy Projects” from the Universidad del CEMA. She holds a Master’s degree in Law, Policy, and Environmental Management from the Universidad Austral. Currently, she is a faculty member of the Emissions Reduction Management Diploma program at the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad Austral.
