Diana Marcela Marín Pineda, Ph.D., is a researcher and professor in the field of medical sciences, with training in Statistics and Epidemiology and a doctorate in Medical Sciences from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Her academic and professional career spans 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting in public health and epidemiology.
She is currently an associate professor at the School of Medicine of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, where she has played a key role in the training of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. She has participated in the organization of numerous courses and workshops on statistics, research methodology, and epidemiology, both nationally and internationally.
Her scientific output includes more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on topics such as tuberculosis, environmental epidemiology, public health, and infectious diseases. She has led and participated in research projects funded by entities such as the Ministry of Science and universities in Colombia and Canada, focusing on environmental health, tuberculosis, and the epidemiology of respiratory diseases. He is a member of the International Society of Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE).
